Wedding belles...

i have some super cute pictures from emily and wills wedding at landmark park that monique took...most of them are of my kids because 1. i like my kids and 2. it wasnt my wedding and not my place to share their pictures...not that emily would care....i just didnt save most of hers...anyway it was extremely exciting for my kids....kylee and elly got to be flower girls, jack got to pass out fans, and peyton got to wear a princess dress (which had to be made into a toga 1 hour in)...but they had seen the planning for weeks and all the stuff that lori was collecting for it...and im pretty sure this was the first wedding they have ever been to...fun was had by all...peyton ripped her dress, kylee nearly broke her foot and it was pretty stinkin hot outside during the ceremony...but other than that it was a success here are some pictures...

i havent taken too many pictures this summer so far, i guess i will get on that...right now i am doing a complete over haul of the girls room...it would make sense to put the new baby in there since it is all new and clean, but i guess i will just have to do jacks room next...i will most definitely not be posting before pics because it is too shameful, but i will post pics of the finished project...haha

And the winner is.....

in our family, for the past couple months since we found out there was another little human on its way to our family...everyone has been positive it would be a little boy...our family would be complete...jared always said he wanted another boy and jack even had him named...so today when we went for the ultrasound and it was a little girl...chaos erupted in the mobley household...jack was crying his little eyes out....jared was mad the he couldnt produce another boy....kylee and elly were upset and said that one peyton was enough...peyton was the only one who was ok with this (mostly because she loves pink)...needless to say after the tempers cooled (i say this, but jack was the only one that was really upset...the rest of us were just in shock) anyway, after bringing some super cute pink clothing home and bottles and other such things everyone is happy now...jack has even offered to share his room with her...so in a couple months time Sophia Grace Mobley will join our little family and we will all welcome her with open arms...no pictures this time, because frankly ultrasound photos creep me out...haha

anniversary, birthday, mothers day=BEACH!

april and may are pretty busy months for us...i dont know why this is, it just seems like there are a lot of things that go on....jared and i celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary (it feels like 100, but whatever)haha...my birthday and mothers day were all clumped together...so what better way to spend it than at the BEACH! my favorite! jared has this idea every time we go to the beach that we need to leave at the buttcrack of dawn (like 4:30AM)...i am not ok with this. it always ends up being more like 6:30 which i agree to because its the beach! we go there about 8:30 to this:

AMAZING! the weather was perfect! no jellyfish...which is always a plus...since it was my birthday we decided to grill hamburgers and hot dogs...and i told you my mother in law goes all out...something i call mobley style...chips, dip, watermelon, strawberries and pound cake and whipped cream...here is a picture of the spread...

 

it was a really great day and an amazing way to spend my birthday...i will leave you with some other pictures....

kids can be so mean...

i will start by saying this...it is no easy task to raise children...for me it seems even harder to raise twins...the guilt and pressure i feel sometimes to make sure that everything is the same for them and at the same time let them know they are different people and it is ok if they like different things is overwhelming...they are two completely different little humans...one is louder(i wont say which one), one is more sensitive, one is clumsier, one holds grudges longer...haha...i do my very best to try and keep things equal...i have struggled with the decision to put them in separate classes, and i know it is for the best, but it is hard...in kindergarten elly would always get one number higher on their fluency test...she was #1 ar whatever in her class...and ky was #2...dont get me wrong, i am not a bragger...i have never thought my kids were better than any other children, and i dont think one is better than the other...i am simply saying it has been hard for me to figure out what is best...so i split them up this year, and they are doing amazing without competing with one another...they get almost the exact same scores on their tests, and they each are excellent readers, and good at school in general...but last friday elly was not feeling well so i sent ky to school...i even packed her lunch so that she would be happy! everything was fine all day, and then she came home...she said to me (with tears in her eyes) that none of the other kids would play with her at PE because elly wasnt there....this broke my heart. i absolutely hate it that children at school, or even here for that matter will pick one to be nice to and leave the other out...or leave one out because the other one is missing....it has become a rule that if someone isnt nice to one of them then they cant play with that person for a while...this is my rule. i cant stand to see one of them so sad to be left out...now i know there is nothing i can do to make the kids at school treat them exactly the same...so i will just be here for them to cry to or complain to...maybe with enough love at home, it wont matter so much when a bratty little kid says i like you but not your sister...at least they have each other...

EASTER PICTURE FUN!!!

over the weekend, we colored eggs...had 2 egg hunts...went to church....ate an amazing lunch...had the best coconut cake ever...all in all a good weekend...here are some of the pictures from coloring eggs...dont mind the ratty hair and children who look like ragamuffins...sometimes this cant be helped...haha

i was pretty proud of myself for getting everyone ready for church early enough so that i was able to take some pictures of the little people...(my goal was a picture of all of us, but i 100% failed at that one...i blame it on jared.) anyway, the little people were pretty excited, so i am happy with some of the pictures i was able to get....

now on to the egg hunt...if you know my mother in law, you know that she goes all out for everything...egg hunts are no different....and i must say that living with/next to her for 8 years has resulted in me being the same way...so we had A TON of eggs for our egg hunt at the house...not 12 or 24...its get as many as you can fit in your bucket...now thats fun...here are all the little people who hunted... oh yea and peyton in her swimsuit that the easter bunny brought...because thats what you should hunt eggs in...a swimsuit...haha
